Abstract Geometric Sculpture

Ned Walley’s latest abstract geometric sculpture combines sharp edges with broad, curved surfaces to create a compact piece that changes dramatically depending on the viewing angle.

The sculpture rises from a simple dark base, allowing the form itself to remain the focus. Its intersecting planes create areas of light and shadow, while the pointed upper profile gives the work a strong vertical presence. Although the sculpture is relatively contained, the combination of curved and angular elements gives it a sense of movement.

One of the most distinctive qualities of the piece is the contrast between its smooth exterior surfaces and the deep spaces created where the forms overlap. As the viewer moves around the sculpture, those relationships shift and reveal a different composition.
